Java Update and Fix (for all jre6 versions)

One of the reasons why you're unable to login to FlexWare is because:
    • received an automatic Java update; where you'll have missing files in your updated java directories. (See below)
On your PickPoint Dell computer, the Java update requires:
    • the username/password for the Windows xadministrator account.
    • administrative rights to access certain directories and functions.
    • the updated Java version (latest: jre1.6.0_22). Go to www.java.com to download, install, and verify software.
    • the following five (7) Java files.

On your remote workstation in the pharmacy, the Java update requires:
    • administrative rights to access certain directories and functions.
    • the updated Java version (latest: jre1.6.0_22). Go to www.java.com to download, install, and verify software.
    • the following file(s): FPJni.jar (21 KB) and jcac.jar (~14 KB)

*You may find these files in a different Java directory. If so, transfer the files to their respective directory using the instructions below.

Instructions on updating your Java locally on the PickPoint Dell computer.
  1. Download the required Java files to your PickPoint provided USB Flash Drive.
  2. Insert the USB FLash Drive into the PickPoint Server workstation.
  3. Open the C:\program files\java folder.
  4. Copy the swing.properties file into the C:\program files\java\jre6\lib directory.
  5. Copy the commons-net-1.1.0.jar, jtds-1.0.3.jar, liquidlnf.jar, jcac.jar and FPJni.jar files into the C:\program files\java\jre6\lib\ext directory.
  6. Restart the PickPoint Dell computer.
  7. After the Dell computer restarts, double-click the PickPoint logo, then login to FlexWare.
